KidsEE WORKSHOP

I had the opportunity of going through a two day Training Workshop at People’s Church in Fresno.  The materials presented will be valuable in my work with kids and leaders.

KidsEE’s Mission statement says it all,  ’Winning Kids for Christ, Grounding them in the Gospel and Equipping them to share the Gospel’. KidsEE is teaming-up  with ‘One Hope’ Ministries with a goal of reaching 20 million children by 2015.   4kidz/phil

Fiji Dr.D’s Sights

The first thing that comes to mind when one mentions Fiji is palm trees, ocean and a plush exclusive vacation spot. But, is that all there is to this tropical island wonder or is there more. The Assembly of God has over 300 churches with an adherence of approx. 50,000 people on the archipelago. The hunger for God’s Word is GREAT and the need for training is EVEN greater.

One of two choices face us:

1) send material and say that we have given enough.
2) train those leaders in the country, who desperately need to be trained.
Many leaders from different churches came together to learn how to be more effective in training leaders to share Christ. If you change a child, you change a community, if you change a community, you change a city, if you change a city you will change a country/continent – if you change a country/continent then you will change the world.

Do we really believe or want to be world changers? Yes, the beauty in the islands of Fiji is worth making the trip but the opportunity to train and place indigenous materials in the hands of the leaders so that they can take ownership of the communities that God has placed them is worth our investing our lives in.

One day I will go back for the vacation but now the commitment lies with equipping the equippers! Dr.D

Dr. Larry Dotson (Dr. D) taught during the Workshops on the importance of ‘A Child’s Development in Learning’. He was surprised to see one of his former students from the Bible School in the Philippines attending one of the workshops in Fiji. He left the Philippines in 1995 as the Missionary to the Children of the Philippines.

100_9468Ron Shearer, Director of Missionary Partners invited M4K to go to South Africa in 1998 to see ‘first-hand’ Missions.  Since that first invitation MP has helped sponsor M4K’s Mission Trips and Projects in Nicaragua and Cambodia.

MP has helped in providing motors, panga boats, fuel and generators for pastors that are lacking the equipment for their ministry.

Ministry4Kids traveled to the Southern Atlantic Coast of Nicaragua  for the first time in 2001 with Assemblies of God Missionary Troy Doudy.  It’s hard to believe that M4K has just completed 13 Missionary trips to Nicaragua.

Each trip Troy has scheduled a new location for training, equipping and serving Pastors and leaders in Christian Education.  Workshops have been designed so that leaders attending will leave with a year of Bible Studies that are produced by Life Publishers. Phil/4kids
